Robert G. Ziegler, M.D. Dr. Ziegler, Co-Director of Boundaries Therapy Center, is an adult and child psychiatrist. His special interests include early childhood development, attentional disorders and anxiety problems in children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Ziegler was the child psychiatrist consultant for the Therapeutic Primary Program of the Eliot Mental Health Center of Emerson Hospital for ten years. He holds a staff appointment at both Children's Hospital in Boston, and the Cambridge Health Alliance in Cambridge and Somerville, Massachusetts. He has had teaching appointments at Tufts University and Boston University Medical Schools. He has been an instructor in psychiatry for nearly two decades at Harvard Medical School, and is currently an Associate Professor of Psychiatry. For over a decade, he led a team within the division of neurology at Children's Hospital to work with children with epilepsy, learning disabilities, and other neurological disorders. He is currently the Director of Community Relations at the Cambridge Health Alliance. At Boundaries, he provides therapy for children and adults as well as working with couples and families. He has published numerous articles on child therapy and family development, learning disabilities, and the psychological and psychiatric complications of epilepsy. He has co-authored a book for parents, Does Your Child Have Epilepsy? In 1992, his book, Home Made Books to Help Kids Cope was published, which guides families and professionals in managing a wide variety of issues with children. His current book, Sharing Care: The Integration of Family Approaches with Child Treatment, has been published by Brunner/Mazel, part of the Taylor-Francis publishing group in 1999. |
