PHILOSOPHY
Alcohol and Chemical Dependency are diseases that affect both individuals
and their families. Our diagnostic and treatment services are designed
to support the recovery process in providing education and information
about behavior patterns that keep alcoholics, drug abusers and families
stuck in their roles.
Alcoholism and drug addiction are diseases of dependence. Initial treatment for the chemically dependent person is designed to break the cycle of addiction and establish a new and sober way of life. Relationships are erratic whether between partners, friends, or parents and their children. Communication needs to be repaired and relationships restored.
OUR TREATMENT
The Alcohol and Chemical Dependency Team creates an effective individualized treatment plan. Each plan begins with a clear assessment of the dependence problem and associated anxiety and depression. INDIVIDUAL, GROUP, FAMILY, and COUPLE THERAPY is utilized to maximize the opportunity for recovery.
SERVICES INCLUDE:
- Recovery groups for men, women, and adolescents
- Relapse prevention
- Individual and family therapy
- Family support/education groups
- Therapy for adult children of alcoholics
- Adolescent evaluations
- Couples' Groups
COMMUNITY SELF HELP RECOVERY PROGRAMS are encouraged to complement therapy.
The BOUNDARIES TEAM may consult with emplyers and/or EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS to help establish a healthy climate for recovering employees.
EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS and WORKSHOPS on addictive cycles, family communication, and children's problems, among others, are offered on a regular basis.
OUR TREATMENT TEAM
The Team is composed of a variety of specialists, including certified alcohol and drug counselors, social workers, psychologists and a team of psychiatrists. Individuals are matched with the therapist best suited to their needs.
